At our production site in Waldheim (Saxony) we develop and produce pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen, chlorine and turbidity sensors. The main focus is on our highly specialized production facilities for pH glass sensors.

Your competence center for sensors

  • The Endress+Hauser center for sensor competence in Waldheim was created in 1990.

  • Glass blowing is a tradition in this region of Saxony. Kurt Schwabe, a German pioneer in the field of electrochemical sensors technology, carried out his work in the neighboring community of Meinsberg.

  • Endress+Hauser Liquid Analysis employs around 290 people in Waldheim.

  • Apart from pH electrodes, the site also produces glass-free ISFET pH sensors based on semiconductor technology, as well as sensors that measure conductivity, oxygen, turbidity and chlorine levels.

  • The Waldheim location also manufactures cables for connecting sensors to transmitters.
